One of the first history book to take a holistic view of ‘history’ itself…starting with pre-history, JM Roberts, a renowned Oxford historian takes us through early human history and some basic anthropology too. Of his own admission, he has tried to focus on currently relevant, and often ill-known issues rather than the hackneyed ‘revolutions’ of Europeans and Americans. Easy read, and informative.
