Review
A view of Savarkar through relatively under-analysed Marathi body of work on him and by him. Seems to bring into English scholarship a critique that is embedded within an understanding of him that was prevalent then and is possibly prevalent now within the conservative Savarna Hindu thinking. That said, I find the writing style too repetitive across chapters and the book a bit tedious to follow - possibly due to its academic history grounding. An essential reading though before engaging in b&w positioning on Savarkar as represented in social media debates.
